This book is based on factual events about the Cook County Jail during the 1990's. This including one of the worst riots in the history of the Jail, when both gang factions united together against all administrators, and officers. That day Division Five was almost lost, and overran by approximately few hundred inmates. If it wasn't for a handfull of fearless officers, and a few supervisors without hesitation, fought fearlessly, and ferociously until we reconquered Division Five. We did suffer minimum amount of minor casualties, while the opposition was totaly annihilated. The aftermath of the riot is the real story how my former partner, and myself were the real unknown grandaddies of the Cook County Sheriff's Department's S.O.R.T. team, and how it was born, and how it died. Also exposed is the criminal agenda of high, and mid-level county administrators that is guilty of creating, and masterminding a political empire of county wide positions at the taxpayers expense.

When you read what this insider wrote, you realize that what you see on TV dramas doesn't even come close to what's going on out there. If all of the sheep and head-in-the-sand types out there read this, maybe they'd get mad enough to change a "good old boy" system where integrity and merit mean nothing, and crooks and blood-suckers thrive because they are allowed to. Kudos to Mr. Jarding. I found his experiences to be enlightening, frustrating, maddening and ,at times, I laughed out loud at what the author did or said. Well worth reading.Product details
